To Become Dad and Mom!-Passion with Munich
on 2009/9/23 10:30:00 (613 reads)

After knowing of our new ministry, our friends asked: “What were you doing in Germany?” We often use Paul’s saying in 1 Thessalonians 2:6-11, and said, “To become dad and mom!” Following the training principles set out by OCM: to walk alongside with them in heavenly journey, to equip them to become effective equip others, and to study the Bible with them to learn how to teach others to study. Every 6 months we will stay in Munich for 3 months to live together with these overseas students. We accompany them to experience God together, to grow spiritually, and to walk through the joys and difficulties in their lives; to laugh or to weep with them in prayer.

James has placed the emphasis of his work on the great commission of seeking those whom has not yet been reached with gospel. Among the scholars in Europe, these include Chinese students in various cities and townships who do not have a steady place to worship, and those Chinese intellectuals prejudiced against the Christian faith but who has not yet been given an opportunity to dialogue with Christians.

2007 April Newsletter

Q. When Jesus was still on the earth, to follow Him meant physically living and walking with Him. In today’s world, how can one realize one's commitment to follow Him?A. The life of Christ on earth is one where He minded “the matters of my father”every minute of His time. The realization of “following Jesus” is not only a decision to sacrifice oneself, but to experience being born again through the union with Him in His death and resurrection, so that one can abandon one’s godless worldview, worldly values and self-centered life style, and to build up a God-centered world view, Biblical values and God-pleasing life styles.
